The author needs to get a better understanding of the size of a room in square feet is. Like a storage room that's 40 square feet is about the size of a large closet. And an area of a 1000 square feet in a park isn't all that big either. Like only small fraction over 31.62ft x 31.62ft. Other than that, and several places that need the wording edited so that it makes sense, it is a interesting story based in a universe that I haven't read used before. Based on magic and the return of Merlin's bloodline to it. It reads like it was written by someone new to writing the story in his head and it gets away from him here and there through the book. But it does show promiss and is an interesting and fun read. With a better job on the rewrite and editing it would be a 5 star rating. I can recommend this for anyone that doesn't mind a little foul language and a little bit of sex. So overall an interesting story. I'd have rated higher but I have a hard on for consistency. This book has a point of inconsistency that haunted me through the rest of the book. Mission 1 he created a battlesuit with wings and a set of communication devices for his team from his focus. Mission 2 he complained about wishing he had wings so he could fly. Using an alternative way around the problem. Then made a point of complaining how they had no way to communicate and he should remember to pick something up to do that on earth... W..T..F.. It's a tiny book I finished in under 3 hours. Meaning barely a half hour passed between reading about mission 1 before mission 2 started.That said his power levels rise super fast. 3 months to go from "I make a fist around my thumb...right?" To winning a 2-1 fight against a 2,000 year old immortal combat mage & special forces instructor. Granted this is explained why. Just feels too forced.
